Now's the time.

The possibilities for growth within the St. John neighborhood are endless, but the window of opportunity is closing for affordable development sites. Developers are leaving oversaturated areas of the city and heading to St. John for new opportunities.

IMPROVED ACCESABILITY

The City of Austin and TX DOT have approved the construction of three new fly overs. These three new flyovers that will connect I-35 to 183 South creating a seamless transition allowing drivers to bypass I-35 through downtown entirely, This will reduce congestion and improve accessibility to and from the St. John area.

POISED FOR GROWTH

In January 2018 the City Council approved a resolution that directs the City staff to determine options for the former Home Depot site at St. John avenue and Interstate 35.  The city purchased the Home Depot 20+ acre site for $8.1 million in 2008. In 2013, the city bought the neighboring car dealership site for $2.9 million for future development.

May 25th 2017, the Austin Humane Society purchased Victory Christian Center of Austin, located in the St. John community.  A portion of the property purchased consists of approx. 1.7 acres slated for future residential development  located at Bennet Ave and 183. Future residential development will only further strengthen St. John and continue community improvement within local economy, provide better quality of life, and building on local assets.

Living in St. John

At The Legacy at St. John, it should seamlessly meld into its surroundings. That's why we chose Austin's St. John for our location.

Straddling Interstate 35 and bound ib by Hwy 183 and Hwy 290 creating a near downtown golden triangle.

Saint John is an older, ethnic neighborhood located at the intersection of several major local highways and thoroughfares. So commuting to other parts of the city is relatively easy
